At Impact Hub Birmingham’s Open Project Night on 18th January 2016 from 18:30 the next steps in developing a local currency for our city will be explored.

Karen Leach, Coordinator Localise West Midlands, writes: “The Birmingham Pound is a very exciting idea for the city and is in the early stages of development. The Open Project Night will give us the opportunity to ask you some of the vital initial questions”:

  • How we can make sure the currency is something that everyone in the city feels is theirs to use?
  • What areas of the city should we launch?
  • Who should be involved in the launch?
  • What organisations would you like to see supporting the Birmingham Pound?

It will also give you the chance to interact with the idea and allow you to get a glimpse at the potential that would come from us having our own local currency. see: https://brumpound.wordpress.com/2015/12/19/open-project-night-at-impact-hub-18th-jan-2016/
