Celebrating thirty years in business, Professional Polishing Services Ltd marked their anniversary on 30th July by hosting a charity lunch at Carters of Moseley in aid of Help Harry Help Others. PPS anniversaryThe lunch was hosted by the founders of PPS, Peter & Pauline Davies and attended by many individuals who have made a difference to the Company – from those who gave a helping hand when the company started in 1983, to those who now form integral partnerships.

Managing Director, Kirsty Davies-Chinnock, explains the reason behind the concept; “We wanted our anniversary to be special – but in a way that benefited our community and became a celebration to help others. Everyone at PPS has been involved: our team alongside their family and friends generously gave up their time to make PPS Help Harry help Others bracelets, and the Company donated funds to HHHO for each bracelet made and sent out to our partners – which ran into thousands!”

PPS chose Carters of Moseley as they knew that Brad Carter would create a fantastic menu for their guests. He also created a chocolate desert featuring edible stainless steel – celebrating PPS’s anniversary and also the Centenary of Harry Brearley’s discovery in Sheffield.

Georgie Moseley attended the lunch to share with the guests her vision for HHHO and the lunch raised over £1300, bringing the total raised so far by PPS for nearly £4000.

Peter Davies, PPS Chairman said, “It was fantastic to see so many faces – old and new – from my career in the stainless steel industry which started in 1965. Manufacturing is seeing something of a revival within the UK and here at PPS we are continually intrigued and excited by new products and the potential for new finishes. Whilst our 30th anniversary has involved some looking back I am very excited for the future to see where Kirsty and her management team take PPS.”
