In her blog she calls on the Council to commit to securing the market’s future, either on the current site, or by funding a move. Ms Mahmood asks readers to show their support for the markets by filling in a short survey here. She referred to the 40,000 signature petition gathered by traders on the Bull Ring stalls over the last six months which was handed in to a February meeting of the full council by Coun Andy Cartwright (Longbridge) – saying that deferring the decision until after the local elections in May is just not fair to the traders.

The Digbeth Residents Association, traders and their customers appreciate her active support.
